Our goal is to reduce the negative impact of human activities on the oceans
by offering innovative solutions based on ecological and digital resilience
the only true challenges of the future.
D Tethys is a company founded by a safety-specialized engineer architect and an architect specialized in environmental heritage economics and archaeology. We met at sea, as we are both passionate sailors. Driven by our strong commitment to the preservation and transition of architectural and environmental heritage, as well as the global reality of the blue economy, with a particular focus on ocean conservation, we have embarked on a journey of research, development and implementation.
Our collaboration began in Imperia with a technology transfer project commissioned by ESA. As a spin-off of MELiSSA (Micro-Ecological Life Support System Alternative), the European Space Agency's program dedicated to circular life support systems, we were commissioned to adapt the technologies developed for space, making them suitable for installation on tourist and commercial vessels.
A P.O.C. was built in Imperia, reaching a TRL 8 level of technological maturity and in which educational activities were carried out while waiting to move to the next phase. These studies, crucial for the realization of inhabited space missions, guide us in designing innovative models for the virtuous management of resources, representing the most advanced evolution of the circular economy.
We propose ecological and digital resilience, integrating both traditional solutions and the most technologically advanced ones to achieve this goal:
Technical diagnosis and implementation of non-invasive, reversible systems with monitoring for the restoration of historic buildings, religious buildings, residential properties, and public structures.
Rising damp is not just a cosmetic issue. Over time, it causes deterioration of masonry, peeling plaster, salt efflorescence, and progressive material decay.
Damp walls also alter the indoor microclimate, promoting mold, condensation, and a decline in air quality.
In historic buildings, museums, and public spaces, the issue becomes even more critical: preserving the property while ensuring healthy indoor environments.
Every project begins with a technical diagnostic assessment, essential for distinguishing rising damp from infiltration or condensation problems.
The system is completely non-invasive: it requires no demolition, wall cutting, or chemical injections, and it operates without connection to the electrical grid because it is self-powered.
After installation, the masonry gradually begins to dry naturally, progressively returning to physiological moisture levels.
The method has been applied to historic buildings, public structures, and private residences, with results monitored over time through instrumental measurements.
Reduction of moisture content from 80 l/m³ to physiological levels between 20 and 25 l/m³ after 12 months.

Decentralized water purification;
Decentralized energy production;
Optimized management of digital consumption to prevent excessive energy resource use and the global and irreversible pollution of the environment.
Our mission is ecological and digital resilience, tackling the challenges of the future. Starting from global environmental protection, we focus on restoring architectural heritage in ports, small islands, and coastal villages, contributing to ocean conservation. Additionally, D Tethys is committed to the resilience of wineries and olive mills.
through optimized micro-treatment (micro-algae) and if necessary micro-desalination
An Energie EnR Micro cogeneration – heat network group
A Secure DEPin blockchain MDC Micro Data center
Agile and flexible with high “R.O.I”. This all-in-one system can be easily deployed in containerized mode or integrated into existing buildings and also into historical monuments with a neat urban design.
